The Territorial Magazine

The Territorial Magazine continued under the more recognizable title of Inkundla Yabantu. It was probably the last and 'most important African owned and controlled publication before Nationalists gained power'. Under Ngubane Kanyisa Twana in 1944 circulation reached 7000 by Oct 1946 making it the only paper in 1940s to offer regular film and book reviews (Switzer, 1979: 26).
